Here is some other information about Bennie Bonacio. He had an office at 1650 Broadway in New York City's Tin Pan Alley from at least 1955 through 1963 which had on its door also the name of Johnny Mercer. He was the first clarinet player to play the amazing solo at the beginning of Rhapsody in Blue when he was in Paul Whiteman's orchestra. He played in the live orchestra at the Roxy theater between movies.
